Learning Through Exploration
Children discover ideas by touching, trying and testing — not just by being told.
At Funtree, we believe children's natural curiosity is the best starting point for a lifetime of confident, joyful learning.
Funtree is a children's learning and development project based in London. Our focus is simple: to make learning engaging, accessible and meaningful for every child who takes part.
We know that children learn best when they feel safe, curious and encouraged. That is why our activities are built around exploration and play, gently guided towards real skills — language, numeracy, creativity, problem-solving and communication.
Whether a child is taking their very first steps in learning or stretching bigger ideas, we aim to offer experiences that build confidence and a genuine enjoyment of discovery.
Funtree began with a straightforward observation: children are naturally curious, and learning works best when it honours that curiosity rather than rushing past it. The project was imagined as a place where play and purpose meet — where activities are fun enough to hold a child's attention and thoughtful enough to support real development. Our mission is to give families a welcoming, trustworthy starting point for their children's learning journeys.
This story is illustrative brand content. The project is presented as founded by Oliver James Bennett — a demonstration owner name pending confirmation. No founding dates or milestones are claimed.Five simple principles shape every activity we plan.

Every "why?" is welcome. Questions are the engine of discovery, so we make room for them.
Open-ended activities sit inside a gentle framework, so fun always has a learning purpose.
Some children learn by doing, others by listening or watching. We welcome them all.
If an activity isn't enjoyable, it isn't working. We design for delight and for growth.
Parents and guardians are partners in learning, so we keep communication open and clear.

Seven values sit at the heart of everything we do.
As a developing project, our proudest achievement is the enthusiasm of the families who explore learning with us. Looking ahead, we hope to grow our range of programmes, publish more free family resources and seasonal activity ideas, and build a small community where parents and guardians can share inspiration. These are aspirations, not claims — and we look forward to working towards them openly.
